This allows the accountant to add considerable value to accounting services they are providing to the client. Management accounts can be prepared on the same data the client is working with. The client can maintain those parts of the system that best suit their situation with the accountant providing an outsourced book-keeping and management reporting service to complete the accounting function.
Typically clients will raise the sales invoices and maintain the cash book. The accountant can always access the system and does not need to visit the client's premises to do so. This means that one member of staff can serve more clients, and allows the time that is spent on site to be more focussed to the business challenges that the client is facing.
